DR. DANIEL BOTHA
Dr. Dan Botha, founder of Rhythm Health and Dynamic Health Studio passed away mid-June 2025.
He practiced medicine in Calgary for the over 30 years. In 1983, he graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and a Bachelor of Surgery from the University of the Orange Free State in Bloemfontein, South Africa.
With a certificate in Age Management Medicine, he incorporated many innovative treatments to improve patients' overall health and quality of life. Some area of interest included:
DR. DANIEL RUTTLE
Dr. Daniel Ruttle joined Rhythm Health and Dynamic Health Studio in February of 2023.
He has practiced family medicine for the almost a decade, 3 of which were in rural family medicine. He studied medicine at the University of British Columbia and completed his residency through the University of Calgary.
He has a particular passion for functional health and applied quantum biology. He holds his IFMCP Certification through the Institute for Functional Medicine and has a varied interest in improving patient overall wellness. He is also well versed in CIRS and is a Shoemaker Protocol™ Proficiency Partner. Some area of high interest include:

Dr. Ruttle is in office every day, and is available for both in person and virtual consultations.
DR. REGAN TAYLOR
Dr. Taylor is an alumni of the University of Calgary medical training program with extensive work done in rural Alberta including Black Diamond and Pincher Creek. He has worked closely with Emergency Medicine physicians, sports medicine, and mental health providers to develop skills in many areas of medicine.
Additionally, Dr. Taylor is able to see individuals experiencing difficult times to provide counselling, resources, management of medications, as well as mental health screening and assessment. He believes in treating each individual as a whole in able to treat the root cause which helps to achieve the best possible outcome. He recently has taken additional training time for ultrasound guided joint injections as he likes to focus on procedures and evidence based medicine.
In his free time, he enjoys mountain biking all over western Canada and will stay busy during winter with skiing.
DR. MATTHEW GALAS, locum
Dr. Matthew Galas is a seasoned family physician, having completed his medical degree at the University of British Columbia and his postgraduate residency in Family Medicine at the University of Calgary.
He also holds a Diploma in Practical Dermatology from Cardiff University, Wales. Dr. Galas provides comprehensive virtual care in both GP dermatology and family medicine, offering accessible, patient-centered services across Alberta. His practice is grounded in a holistic and evidence-based approach, emphasizing personalized treatment. He is particularly committed to improving access to GP dermatologic care in underserved and remote areas through virtual platforms.
Dr. Galas is assisting Rhythm Health as a part-time locum. He is available for telehealth consultations on Monday - Thursday.
